SEO for the Copenhagen districts and services you want to grow in

Choose the services you want more enquiries for and the districts and municipalities you cover. You see the price per page in Danish kroner straight away, and Kim recommends a first stage in a written quote before any work starts.

A fixed price per page in Danish kroner, agreed in writing before work starts: DKK 5,150 per new page, DKK 2,600 per rewrite. Prices exclude VAT.

How we decide what to build

How does a Copenhagen business get found by the right customers?

  • Services and areas first. Start with what you deliver and where you actually take jobs. One useful page can cover several districts.
  • Improve before you build. If you already have a bathroom page, we review it before suggesting a new page for a district.
  • Pages and map results are different tasks. According to Google, local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence. A page about a district does not give you an address there.

Kim's working approach

Don't settle for a high ranking

“You can build a whole business on chasing clicks, but clicks from the wrong searches get expensive fast. Showing the right page for the right search does more than lift your click rate. It filters out enquiries you could never take, so the people who click are the ones in the area you actually serve.”

Kim Jaiteh, founder of NorthPosition

This is our working approach, not a measured result. What counts is where the job is; the customer may be searching from somewhere else.

Calculator

Enter your own numbers. The calculator shows what clicks and enquiries that never become jobs cost you today. Nothing is sent and nothing is stored.

What do others bid for a click in Copenhagen?

  • “vvs københavn” (1,300 searches a month): about DKK 31 to DKK 100 per click
  • “elektriker københavn” (1,300 searches a month): about DKK 41 to DKK 119 per click

Google's estimates for top-of-page bids, low and high range, averaged over October 2025 to September 2026. Google gives the estimate in US dollars; we converted it at the ECB rate of 2 November 2026. These are bid levels, not what you actually pay.

Three ways to get fewer wrong clicks

  1. Review the search terms. The report in Google Ads shows which searches you paid for, and you can exclude the ones you don't want.
  2. Narrow the area. Show the ads where you actually take jobs, not across the whole region.
  3. Send the searcher to the right page. A page that says which jobs you take and which districts you cover lets people who don't fit see that before they call.

Homes in Copenhagen

What kind of homes are there in Copenhagen's districts?

The figures are from Copenhagen Municipality and Statistics Denmark and show the homes in each district and municipality on 1 January 2026: how many are owner-occupied, privately rented, cooperative (andelsbolig) or social housing (almen bolig), and when they were built. The form of ownership often decides who books the job.

“A description of the place doesn't do the whole job. For a tradesperson, it is better to show which homes dominate the area and how you work with them.”

An owner-occupied flat is an owner-occupied home in a block of flats; an owner-occupied house is one in a detached, terraced or semi-detached house. The remaining homes are owned by the municipality or the state, or are student housing and similar. For the districts, the year is when the home was taken into use; for the municipalities, the construction year. The district figures are Copenhagen Municipality's and the municipal figures Statistics Denmark's, so Copenhagen differs slightly between the two tables.

Who books the job?

The form of ownership often decides who orders and pays. This is how Danish law and the standard articles divide the responsibility, unless the articles or the lease lawfully say otherwise:

Housing cooperatives

The cooperative owns the property. The board runs it day to day and must see that it is properly maintained in line with the budgets and the general meeting's decisions (Cooperative Housing Act, section 6 c). Who maintains what inside the flats is set out in the cooperative's articles.

The page should show how you work with boards: inspection, quotes and notices to residents.

Highest share: Nørrebro (40%), Østerbro (34%), Vesterbro/Kongens Enghave (31%)

Owner associations

Every owner of a flat in the building is a member of the owner association (Owner-Occupied Flats Act, section 2). Under the standard articles, the association maintains shared supply pipes and installations up to where they branch into each flat (section 26), and the owner maintains the flat and its own pipes up to where they join the shared lines (section 27). The association's own articles can depart from the standard articles (section 5).

The page should speak to both the association's board and the person who owns the flat.

Highest share: Indre By (25%)

Private rentals

Unless the lease expressly says otherwise, the landlord must keep the property and the flat properly maintained, including drains and the installations for electricity, gas, water and heating (Rent Act, sections 11 and 112). The tenant looks after locks and keys. In regulated municipalities, the landlord usually cannot pass the external maintenance, which covers the installations, on to the tenant (sections 6 and 115).

The page should make it easy for a tenant to report a fault and for the landlord to book the job.

Highest share: Indre By (42%), Amager Vest (35%), Frederiksberg (35%)

Social housing

The housing organisation is the landlord and must keep the property properly maintained and all its installations in good working order (Social Housing Rent Act, sections 3 and 24). The tenant looks after locks and keys. The overall framework for works in an estate must be approved by the tenants' meeting before the works start (Social Housing Act, section 37).

The page should show that you can work with a housing organisation: agreements, documentation and notices to residents.

Highest share: Brøndby (55%), Herlev (54%), Ballerup (50%)

Homeowners

In detached, terraced and semi-detached houses outside a cooperative or owner association, the owner usually decides and pays directly, with no board or landlord in between.

The page should answer what a homeowner wants to know before an inspection: what the job covers, how the price is set and when you can come.

Highest share: Dragør (67%), Tårnby (42%), Gentofte (34%)

How we read the figures: we show a group when at least 25 percent of the homes in the area belong to it. That is our rule of thumb, not the municipality's or Statistics Denmark's. The figures count homes, not households. Copenhagen as a whole: private rentals, housing cooperatives.

What is specific to Copenhagen

What a Copenhagen page plan has to decide

Districts, municipalities or the whole city?

A plumber taking jobs in Nørrebro and Bispebjerg and an electrician covering Gentofte and Lyngby-Taarbæk need different plans. We check what each service can deliver and which location questions a customer needs answered.

Danish first, English where it helps

Most Copenhagen customers search in Danish: about 140 searches a month for “seo københavn” against about 10 for “seo agency copenhagen” (Google, October 2025 to September 2026). We write the Danish page first and add an English version where your customers need one.

Who books the job shapes the page

In a housing cooperative the board orders work on the property, in social housing the housing organisation does, and in a private rental the landlord carries the maintenance duty. The page should speak to the people who actually book you.

Map results need a real location

Google's local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence. A district page does not give you a Copenhagen address, so we plan organic pages and any eligible Business Profile as separate tasks.

Who we build for

Businesses in Copenhagen we build for

Plumbers (VVS), electricians and other trades, property services, clinics and professional services covering Copenhagen's districts, Frederiksberg and the surrounding municipalities.

We start with your services, customers and existing website. The scope can include service and area pages, language versions where needed, structured data, technical SEO and readiness for AI answers. We agree how to measure the work, including Search Console and enquiries where available.

Where we work from. NorthPosition is run from Stockholm, Sweden. We work with businesses in Copenhagen remotely, by video call and shared documents, and we have no office in Copenhagen.

Questions

Questions about SEO in Copenhagen

Do we need Danish pages, or is English enough?

For Danish customers, write in Danish: English searches for a Copenhagen SEO agency are rare. An English version helps when you also serve international clients, and hreflang connects the two versions.

Does every Copenhagen district need its own page?

No. A district page earns its place when it has something of its own to say, such as different homes, jobs or customers. Near-identical pages built to catch searches can fall under Google's doorway abuse policy, and one good page often covers several districts.

Are the prices in Danish kroner?

Yes. Copenhagen pages are quoted in Danish kroner, at a fixed price per page agreed in writing before work starts. Care & SEO is optional and quoted the same way.
