SEO for the Oslo districts and services you want to grow in
Choose the services you want more enquiries for and the districts and municipalities you cover. You see the price per page in Norwegian kroner straight away, and Kim recommends the first stage in a written quote before any work starts.
A fixed price per page in Norwegian kroner, agreed in writing before work starts: NOK 7,150 per new page, NOK 3,650 per rewrite. Prices exclude VAT.
How we decide what to build
How does an Oslo business get found by the right customers?
- Services and areas first. Start with what you deliver and where customers can actually use it. Several districts can share one useful page.
- Improve before you build. If you already have a bathroom page, we review it before suggesting a new page for a district.
- Pages and map results are different tasks. Google describes local results in terms of relevance, distance and prominence. A page about a district does not give you an address there.
Kim's working approach
Don't stop at a high ranking
“You can build a whole business on chasing clicks, but clicks from the wrong searches get expensive fast. Showing the right page for the right search does more than lift your click rate. It filters out enquiries you could never take, so the people who click are the ones in the area you actually serve.”
This is our working approach, not a measured result. What counts is where the job is; the customer may be searching from somewhere else.
Calculator
What do wrong clicks and wrong enquiries cost?
Enter your own numbers. The calculator shows what clicks and enquiries that never become jobs cost you today. Nothing is sent and nothing is stored.
What do others bid for a click in Oslo?
- “rørlegger oslo” (2,400 searches a month): about NOK 76 to NOK 254 per click
- “elektriker oslo” (1,900 searches a month): about NOK 49 to NOK 192 per click
Google's estimates for top-of-page bids, low and high range, averaged over October 2025 to September 2026. Google gives the estimate in US dollars; we converted it at the ECB rate of 2 November 2026. These are bid levels, not what you actually pay.
Three ways to get fewer wrong clicks
- Review the search terms. The report in Google Ads shows which searches you paid for, and you can exclude the ones you don't want.
- Narrow the area. Show the ads where you actually take jobs, not across the whole region.
- Send the search to the right page. A page that says which jobs and which districts you cover lets people who don't fit see that before they call.
Homes in Oslo
What kind of homes are there in Oslo's districts?
The figures are from Statistics Norway (SSB) and show the households in each district in 2025: how many live in blocks of flats or in houses, and how many own their home, own a share in a housing cooperative or rent. That often decides who books the job.
“A description of the place doesn't do the whole job. For a tradesperson, it is better to show which homes dominate the area and how you work with them.”

“In houses” covers detached, semi-detached, terraced and other small houses. Co-op members own a share in a housing cooperative or a housing company. Building years cover homes as of 1 January 2026 and are only available per municipality.
Who books the job?
The form of ownership often decides who orders and pays. This is how Norwegian law divides the responsibility, unless the articles or the lease say otherwise:
Housing cooperatives
Shared pipes, wiring and ducts running through a home are the cooperative's responsibility (Housing Cooperatives Act, section 5-17). The member maintains pipes, wiring and fittings inside their own home, but not pipes built into load-bearing structures (section 5-12). Rebuilding and other changes beyond normal administration and maintenance need the consent of at least two thirds of the general meeting (section 8-9).
The page should show how you work with boards: inspection, quotes and notices to residents.
Highest share: Grorud (62%), Alna (62%), Østensjø (53%)
Owner associations
In an owner association (eierseksjonssameie), the association maintains shared installations, including those that run through the flats, such as pipes, wiring and ducts (Owner Section Act, section 33). The owner maintains their own flat and must keep wet rooms free of leaks (section 32).
The page should speak to both the association's board and the person who owns the flat.
Highest share: Ullern (63%), Frogner (42%), Stovner (37%)
Rented homes
Unless agreed otherwise, the landlord maintains the rented home, while the tenant looks after items such as taps, toilets and water heaters. If the landlord's fittings need replacing, that is the landlord's job (Tenancy Act, section 5-3).
The page should make it easy for a tenant to report a problem and for the landlord to book the job.
Highest share: St. Hanshaugen (50%), Frogner (47%), Grünerløkka (42%)
Homeowners
In detached, semi-detached and terraced houses outside a cooperative or owner association, the owner decides and pays directly, with no board or landlord in between.
The page should answer what a homeowner wants to know before an inspection: what the job covers, how the price is set and when you can come.
Highest share: Asker (74%), Nordre Follo (66%), Lillestrøm (60%)
How we read the figures: we show a group when at least 30 percent of the households in the area belong to it. That is our rule of thumb, not Statistics Norway's. The figures count households, not buildings. Oslo as a whole: owner associations, rented homes, housing cooperatives.

Example page brief
A plumbing page for Grünerløkka and Sagene
An illustration for a fictional business. Not a client and not a result.
- Search need
- Flats in Grünerløkka and Sagene with a leak, a blocked drain or a bathroom to refit.
- The homes
- Nine in ten households in both districts live in blocks of flats. About a third are co-op members, and four in ten rent.
- Page
- One plumbing page that covers both districts, instead of two near-identical area pages.
- What the page answers
- Which jobs you take on, how you work with cooperatives, owner associations and landlords, how soon you can usually visit, how pricing works and how to request a quote.
- Proof to add
- Photos and short notes from your own recent jobs, used with your customers' permission.
- How we measure
- Search Console queries and the enquiries the page brings, compared with a starting point recorded before publishing.
What is specific to Oslo
What an Oslo page plan has to decide
Districts, municipalities or all of Oslo?
A plumber taking jobs in Grorud and Alna and an electrician covering Bærum and Asker need different plans. We check what each service can deliver and which location questions a customer needs answered.
Norwegian first, English where it helps
Most Oslo customers search in Norwegian: about 260 searches a month for “seo oslo” against about 10 for “seo agency oslo” (Google, October 2025 to September 2026). We write the Norwegian page first and add an English version where your customers need one.
Who books the job shapes the page
In a housing cooperative the board orders work on shared pipes, in a rented flat the landlord carries the maintenance duty, and in a detached house the owner decides alone. The page should speak to the people who actually book you.
Map results need a real location
Google's local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence. A district page does not give you an Oslo address, so we plan organic pages and any eligible Business Profile as separate tasks.

Questions
Questions about SEO in Oslo
Do we need Norwegian pages, or is English enough?
For Norwegian customers, write in Norwegian: English searches for an Oslo SEO agency are rare. An English version helps when you also serve international clients, and hreflang connects the two versions.
Does every Oslo district need its own page?
No. A district page earns its place when it has something of its own to say, such as different homes, jobs or customers. Near-identical pages built to catch searches can fall under Google's doorway abuse policy.
Are the prices in Norwegian kroner?
Yes. Oslo pages are quoted in Norwegian kroner, at a fixed price per page agreed in writing before work starts. Care & SEO is optional and quoted the same way.
Other markets: New York · London · Dubai · Costa del Sol · Stockholm · Copenhagen
